Belgium fest picks Iran short

Iranian short film ‘Flatland’ has been scheduled to be screened at the 39th edition of the Brussels Independent Film Festival in Belgium.

Co-directed by Alireza Keymanesh and Amir Pousti, the short film is to attend the Belgian film event.

The flick narrates the life experience of geometric shapes in the one, two, three, or even higher dimensional worlds. Each shape is only capable of understanding the dimensions of its own world and denies the existence of other worlds with dimensions more than the one it is inhabiting.

The short film was shot from the top of a skyscraper in an urban area from a high vantage point in a way that each performer is seen as a mere spot.

The Center Multimedia in Brussels founded the Brussels Independent Film International Festival in 1974.

During the 38 years of running, the festival has hosted many noteworthy filmmakers from around the world. The festival creates a space for unique visionaries and voices.

The 39th edition of the Brussels Independent Film Festival is slated for February 11-18, 2018.
